Hi! I'm Denise, and these are my three children surrounding me. After 10 years of teaching science in a New York City public school I took a break from teaching, (or at least that's what I thought, I was doing), to raise my children. The experience of watching them learn and take in information as infants, then toddlers and now as high school and college students, (sigh), has shaped my view of how children learn best. As a result, I developed this inquiry-based, holistic approach to teaching science. I hope you will join us on this journey of creativity and discovery.

Your child will thrive in Stemtastic's alternate learning environment where children are invited to explore and create at their pace.

Stemtastic's hygge environment; soft lighting and cozy corners, provides a welcome respite from the overstimulated world in which our children reside. Gentle transitions, breath work and play breaks, along with child directed projects and time with nature, allow children to tap into their imaginative flow, stretching the limits of their capabilities.

Through Stemtastic's Natural Learners preschool and K-2 alternative, children learn to read and write as they learned to walk and talk, with persistent encouragement and motivating lessons with real world applications.

Stemtastic's camps allow children to be kids again. Curiosity and experimentation lay the groundwork for the day's activities. While the leaders provide the framework, the projects are always open ended and children are encouraged to explore a variety of possible outcomes.

At Stemtastic, children stay engaged. They may transition through a variety of activities when they are ready and with so much to choose from there is something for everyone.

Stemtastic has been inspiring our next generation of scientists, engineers, thinkers, and problem solvers to enjoy the journey of discovery for over 10 year in hopes they will take these experiences and remain perpetually curious and lifelong learners.
