<image:title>Natural Learners - Early Learners, Emergent Readers approx ages 3-5</image:title>
<image:caption>Students are introduced to letters and numbers in a holistic way., meaning, hey are presented iso that children may understand what they represent. We begin with the whole, the number 1, then divide it into 2 and 3 etc. They practice writing their numbers and letters in their books as well as cut and paste picture that begin with each letter. As we introduce the letters, we participate in a corresponding science activity, i.e. R is for rainbow, pictured here. Meanwhile, each number has a story to complement understanding, i.e., two of everything, the three bears, the five chinese brothers and so on.</image:caption>

<image:caption>This grouping is for children who have learned to recognized letters, sounds and numbers. We continue to build number sense in this group and are introduced to addition and subtraction operations as well as opportunities to multiply and divide in meaningful ways. Our literacy curriculum focuses on fairy tales around the world, we compare and contrast and create stem projects based on the current tale, for example, we may build a bridge for a billy goat or a zip line for goldidlocks to escape the bears. We also celebrate the holidays and will build a trap for a leprechaun in march, as seen in the picture.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Summer Camp - Collaborative Building</image:title>
<image:caption>Each week we have a different collaborative design project. Ages 5-12 work together to build one aspect of a village. During week 1, we built bridges. One of our older students attempted to make hers a drawbridge while another proceeded to teach us about Humbolt Squid, which he drew beautifully in the water, while others chose to build roads connecting to the bridges and lego cars to travel along them. Collaborative building is entirely camper led with instructor support for materials and ideas. Each child is encouraged to become engaged in one aspect of the process.</image:caption>
