Who stole the treasure? Join us as we investigate 3-D imagery, hidden messages, extract DNA, measure ph levels and solve the mystery.
Makers in Space
Enter through our air-lock and climb aboard the International Space Station. In this immersive experience you'll enjoy eating, working and playing like an astronaut. We'll build and launch a space probe, envision life in zero gravity, and prepare a space snack.
Castles and Catapults
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Come explore a variety of tools we can use to send our pompom ammo soaring through the air. Design and build your own unique system for launching our ammo into the air. Then we’ll get behind our castles, as we hide from attackers.
Marble Ramps and Roller Coasters
In this class, we'll manipulate the forces of gravity, acceleration and motion in ways Newton never could have envisioned. We'll use a larger-than life sized marble ramp to see how marbles travel, build our own marble Roller-Coaster and Pin-ball machine or marble maze. Each participant will take home their own marble maze or pinball machine.
Volcanoes and Other Explosives
Mysteries of Flight
Join us as we uncover the science behind concepts such as lift and air pressure. We'll build our own gliders, hovercraft and airplanes and test them out on our runway. We'll use trial and error techniques to perfect our designs in hopes of creating the perfect flying machine.
This class is all about chemical reactions. Join us as we build a volcano out of clay and experiment to find the perfect recipe for concocting the "ooziest," lava. We'll blow up balloons without using our lungs and design a rocket we'll send soaring. Dress for a mess, this class is full of surprise.
What Floats Your Boat?
"Eureka!" shrieked the ancient mathematician, Archimedes, when he discovered the formula that allows heavy things such as ships to float. We'll design and build our own boat using a variety of recycled materials during this interactive class, then test them to see which can hold the most weight. Don't be surprised if this class has your child shrieking, "Eureka," the next time their in the tub.
Professor Potions Potionology Lab
Professor Potion has agreed to certify a new group of Potionologists. But first, you must complete a series of tasks he has outlined for you. Are you up for the challenge? Can you make a rainbow of colors from one liquid? Make raisins dance and create an oozy explosion? If so, you may have what it takes to become a certified Potionologist.
